    Default Quick (stupid) question...

I got a subaru forester.. it's 5spd.. having the clutch done now...

    (that's kinda beside the point..)

the stick is REAL sloppy... i know there are some bushings you can replace to keep it from being so loose..

    WTF are those called???

i've tried searching: shifter bushing, shift rod bushing, ball cup bushing....

nothing really pin points what i need.. it's should be ONE tiny little polyurathane (i know that's mispelled.. not takin the time to look up spelling!! lol) bushing...

everything i find seems to be numerous pieces or says "cable bushing" or "front/rear shift bushing" and is multiple pieces..

i mean, that's what shifter bushings are for right? stiff hard dick that wont sway too much. was it sloppy after the work was done? if not, i think you should get cable/shifter bushing for the heck of it. it doesnt cost much. good luck. this is all i have to offer. lol

Uh, really? You think its just 1 bushing for the entire shifting assembly? Just 1 rod/cable that has only one servicable end? COME ON MAN!!

I'd have to look at a Subaru shifter assembly, but this set should get it much better:

http://www2.kartboy.com/x4/product.p...cat=253&page=1 There should be more bushings i would think.

NO, i do not think it's one bushing for the whole assembly... BUT i'm only looking for ONE bushing...

I've spoken to numerous people about it.. even pulled up a write up on how to replace this ONE bushing.. it's a common problem.. but for whatever reason no one seems to know the name of the one bushing i need.

i'll get the link for what i'm talking about..
