Default Alpine amp and Alpine sub problem

My frined just got a 10" alpine sub and alpine amp w/stock head unit and he just installed it yesterday. just today when the bass hits it sometimes cuts out the bass entirely for like a second or two and then it comes back on again. Can yall tell us what we should do to fix this problem. thanks

Life begins at 6000 RPMS.. You will notice an audible change in engine noise, large increase in acceleration and any female passengers will immidiately start to remove their clothing.

Check for secure connections...power and ground. Double, and triple check the main power wire fuse. Many times, the AGU (glass style) fuses "look" good, but are not.

Also, verify that the impedence (Ohm load) of the sub is proper for the amp. Make sure the sub is not blown.

Just a few things to look for.....
