Type x is over rated. They used to have (not sure if they still do) big problems with them over heating. I would recomend getting an mtx thunder 9500. It will own both of those subs. Check it out on the mtx website. www.mtxaudio.com

Solo x is over rated. Type is gets kind of loud, but it meant more for SQ. The L7 is pretty loud, but sounds like a wet fart. So it depends on what sound you are looking for for which sub you want to get.

I would go with a JL W6V2 they are one of the best subs overall for the money.

JL is overpriced, but decent. The W6v2 is their best sub, not the W7. For the price of 2 JL W7 13.5's I bought both of my subs and the amp to power them.

after I get the recone done, I sell you my 2 XXX's for like 750. After the recone they are like brand new subs. IF anyone was at boogerbash, they probably heard my truck and can attest to how loud they get.

I got two kicker solo baric L7 and i got a new amp MRD 1005 alpine. I think one of them blew or both of them. I did have a MRD 501 and didnt have a problem. Anyone know were i can take them and have them rebuilt? I mean they sound good untill certian notes it lame. Ill pay 10 bucks if anyone can tell me if there blown. I heard u can test them some how with a meter on the coils i dunno. It stunk my car but i didnt push them that hard. Thought they might be braking in or something. im very sad cuz im lost and dont know what to do.

check all 4 coils for resistance. If you have an open coil then its blown and has to go back to kicker for a recone. If they are still under warranty though I would take the blown one back to the shop you got it form and swap it out.
