Were the Trans Am cars there?

What's the difference between SCCA SPO and SCCA GT1?

I know SPO cars are engines 2.5L or larger or any turbocharged or supercharged engines. Idk about the GT1 specs. Trans Am cars were there, I didn't really snap any pictures of the though .

Here's one. You also caught this car in the esses. I was at Daytona today watching a Trans AM SN95 Mustang beat an ex Manthey Racing 996.

Hold on. I'm not saying it is im just saying that is what they look like.

In the esses pic, it looks like the orange tube chassis Vette is chasing the #28 SPO Class grey colored Vette so they might both be SPO.

    Anyone can make a clarification?

I just checked the ARRC book they handed out and the #59 orange corvette is listed as an SPO class.

I was there too, went Thursday too (well worked)

SPO is basically unlimited, but it follows prod and GT safety specs. It's a regional class GT1 is a national class. This was the ARRC which is a regional event not a national so you see many GT1 type cars running SPO a lot of the time.

I was helping out/hanging out with the ITO 1st gen RX-7 I'm sure you saw it.
