I think a nice drop would completely change the personality of this car.

Sell the Mustang wheels and put the stock police interceptor black steel wheels on it with the chrome center cap, seriously. Why is the car so high anyways? It's borderline donk. Are the tires that much smaller than stock? Does it not have the upgraded police interceptor springs on it?

How can you get pulled over for impersonating a cop if you are purposely intimidating people? As long as you don't have blue lights anywhere there is no way you can get charged with that.

i didnt get charged and the cop was a complete douche same guy both times and the bad thing about the original steelies is they crack and tend to fail when being driven hard and the car does have police springs wich make the car sit up 1/4 to half an inch higher than civilian cars. and the stock wheels were actualy bigger in diameter than the stang wheels.

245/45/17 > 225/16/55 u cant but any larger tires on stock stealies so traction is a major issue for my next set of tire tho im going to get some that fill out the fender wells a little better im going with a 55 in the rear and a 45 in the front since it will be lowered

Steelies crack?! I'm sure they need to be inspected for any prior damage after purchase. I see no way a heavy duty steel wheel can become "cracked" unless it had serious prior damage while on duty. Especially since OEM police tire sizes seem to be 225/60/16 on the older ones and 235/55-17 on the newer ones...Goodyear RS-A's at that. Not exactly a low profile tire.

It's nothing that can't be repaired anyways and just about any reputable motorcycle builder or machine shop can widen a steel wheel. Wouldn't be difficult to slice and weld in a band of steel to whatever width desired.

yea ford had a major recall on them the chassis changed in 03 and the car went to a much higher offset then pre 02 and they had a design flaw from the factory that would cause cracking when put under stress i took it to ford but the catch is they will only replace the stealies if the car is still in service and mine werent replaced plus they weigh a ton so there isnt anypoint in adding more weight to an already heavy car

If you are going to use 17s, 225-55-17 would be appropriate and closer to the original overall diameter. It would also help with the off-roading look you have going on there. I see potential, just lower it and resize those tires. 45 series definitely won't work. Maybe 245-50-17 even.

the wheel are good for what i do with the car stock stealies suck for anything but normal driving trust me and they are crap when u want to run a wider tire for mountain runs and track events etc... but thanks for all the comments will keep some in mind and its a unique project it was never ment to be a crowd pleaser :boobies: but its different and i payed 3300 for it so needless to say 30k mi later it runs stronger than ever
