Rock bottom....I may hit it...

So, found out today that my dealership is calling it quits, and shutting the doors for good on Friday. I can't believe all the time, money in tools, schooling, ect is about to be flushed down the drain, thanks to Government Motors. Now, my bills are going to be late even with unemployment my bills won't get paid, Having to stand in line at the unemployment office next moday or whenever I have to go, is going to suck. Every place I have looked is not hiring for what I do, and I will not flip burgers. On the upside, when I do get my unemployment, I can take a little break, step back and figure things out. It really sucks and is unfair, went into work this morning is a very very good mood, and then at right before lunch got told the news. So, in a way I am asking for thoughts and prayers.

I never would have thought things would come out this way. I am twenty-two years old, and have been with a dealership since I was 16. Other than detailing cars, working on them is all I know. Time to re-up on some skills, and survive. Fuck General Motors, and fuck this god damned government.

it took every inch of me not to knock the owner out today. I gritted my teeth, and shook his hand. Ive been there awhile now, and knowing all the time I put in busting my ass is not going to pay off.

see above. Mind you, I make around 17-18 hourly. So, I'll take a break, get paid for a minute. Get my stuff together, and find something to do. I can't stay on unemployment long, because I have bitched at people for milking the system.

I hit the bottom after 9/11, lost everything. best thing to do is network with everyone you know, and see if they know anyone hiring, don't be picky and take whatever you can get. I had to work my way back up, took about 6 years but I made it. Good Luck man...

Damn bro, I'm sorry to hear about this. The job situation sucks pretty bad lately, I'll keep my eyes open for something and let you know if I find anything... you considered going to get your CDL's? A few of my friends just got theirs and they have had no problems finding work since.

You and about 10,000,000 other people. Most trucking companies aren't even recruiting anymore because there are so many apps being sent to them. Good thing is the turn-over rate is immense because 75% of the n00bs think driving a truck is easy...
