If your doing a neon kit the best materials are:

    1. Large 25 Gallon Metal Trash Can
    2. Gasoline
    3. Matches

Its simple...Just like hooking up foglights. Just mount them wherever u want. make sure the neon tube isnt showing. so it will actually glow the under carriage of the car, instead of being like a 4 foot light bulb. Drill it to the car. And then just hook up the power and ground wire, to the switch. And wallah. Its simple...you can do it, just get someone to help u mount them. Just make sure your tubes dont show, at all. What color is the kit?

If you got a body kit you might need a lift. But yea just drill into the body where you want them mounted. Kit should come with brackets to mount lights to body. And bolts. Hide the wire and mount transformer on flat spot on the motor. Wire the switch on the firewall through the door to the cabin. Sounds complicated but its really not. And PLEASE hide the tubes.

Just drill it wherever u mount it. Just wire the switch to a power source on the car somewhere. i guess u can run the wires from under the car, to the engine bay and inside thru the firewall. Dont run the wires between the door hinges, or in that space between the fender. just find one of the spots were there is already wires being ran thru the firewall, and run it thru there. Ive never installed one before, so i dont know if it has extra switches and relays and all that.

If you can get away with it, zip-ties are great things to have and you won't have to worry about punching a hole in something important. Even if you use the screws, back them up with zipties JUST in case you rattle a screw loose. It would suck to be rolling down 285 and have a 48" tube pop loose (it'd suck worse for the dude behind you!)

There are several holes already in your firewall that will go into the footwell so you can get power to the switch straight from the battery. Look under the hood on the firewall near the battery. Somewhere on there they'll be a spot with a rubber grommet and a conduit ( a plastic tube ) full of wires running through it. There's probably more than one or two of these. Push a coathanger through the wall (*with the tip bent tightly ROUND!!!! no wire tearing!!!), pull back the carpet in the front of the footwell on the passenger side and look for the other end of that hanger. tape/wrap/whatever your power wire to it and pull it back through the wall into the engine bay. Attach it to the battery easy as that. You'll definitely want about a 30 amp in-line fuse and 8 - 10 guage wire for the power. Same for the ground. (( my long winded point is that you shouldn't have to drill a hole in your firewall b/c there's several already there for various wires. take advantage of what's already there ))

Once you're done, take a shot at night and post it for us I've neon'd the hell out of my interior ( it's REALLY BLUE in there ). it's just a fun, cheap thing that keeps me busy and looks pretty and strange. I think I may be using too many..... they pulse when the subwoofer hits hard ! it's pretty funny
