    Default ndis.sys problem

what is this file? i have an hp, and it will not boot up. i keep getting an error saying that file is missing or corrupt. its os is vista. i was told it was the HD so i just went and bought a 1tb hd, and i'm still getting the same error.

i try to get it to boot from disk and re do the whole cp, but it still gives me that same error. what could be the problem, what do i have to change, do, or go buy now?

    Thanks.

It appears to be a driver (I'm assuming from what you said a hard drive driver) and I'd first try pressing F8 in the BIOS(differs among computers) but get to the screen where you can choose boot options and choose Use Last Known Good Configuration(Your most recent settings that worked).
Let me know more details and what's happening..
