    Smile Import Showdown AWD Class Music Video

    I haven't had a chance to get out and tape some more good footage to make more videos with lately... however, I did compile together my videos of my competing runs at Import Showdown and put some music to it... very short video (2 minutes). Enjoy. =]

    Damn i'm impressed.. I normally say something negitive about asian cars.. But i guess I have to have a little respect for a car that about broke into the 11's.. Good job.. Very nice video..

If so i was behind you lastweek on busbee near Town Park Crossing Apts. and some little turbo eclipse tried to race you..     Hahaha, next time, next time... most of us had the traps for the 11s, just not the times, my highest trap was near 118 mph. Traction was a major issue, I don't think the track was prepped as well as it could have been.

    I rode in Charles Evo down to Reynolds & man-o-man that family car of his is SloW! When his turbo spooled it felt like VTEC engagement, I was like "is that it?" .. I'm kiddin' , props to my boy for winning 1st & also props to Val <<

    Charles edged me out in the finals by a hair. He did a great job with the tree that day. Great video Charles! You need to show me how you make these videos. I would love to give it a try.

    My best run of the event was a 12.069 @ 115.98, so close to 11's.

    The black GSX was one of my customers cars. It's a solid running car, with a pretty basic setup. Stock block, stock head (no cams either), street disc clutch setup, and an SAFC. His AEM comes in next week, so I can retune it for him and make way more power now. Judging by his mph, I'd say he can run an 11sec pass the way it sits now. He was sleeping at the line I see, but nice runs either way. You were on top of the light on all your passes. Have you run 11's yet with that setup?

    Not all of us have the money or luxory to just slap on a fatty turbo without thinking twice... trust me, it's something I'm considering... but not something I exactly have the funds for. =]


    No, I have never broken into the 11's with my setup yet... if I could get traction instead of squeeling all 4 wheels or going sideways on my launches, maybe 11's would be in reach. Perhaps one day...

    From what I saw at the track sunday, your car definitly has 11's in it. Yeah I've considered a bigger turbo as well but I like the smaller one I have now, makes daily driving more fun and is an awsome autox turbo as well. 11's will be good enough for me, and my little turbo has the ability.

    what happen to paul with the 97 gsx that had the fastest e.t. in the awd class? Lost at the tree? inconsistency?

    Nice runs everyone. Val had me on the edge there when she got the nice jump out of the hole on Charles. That xtra tq was your best friend at that point Charles.

    And to Charles' point of the track prep sucking and spinning all 4 tires............that's why I dont run at the track. When AWD spins the only thing that will help me is some slicks............then slicks= broken parts EVENTUALLY.

    Amazing job guys and gals. Very nice way to rep the Evo's.

    Val, you goober. The black GSX running 11.5-11.7(Boostjunkie) lost to me right before our race in the semi's. He said my two-step scared the shyt out of him. He bogged the launch and hit a 2.2 60' I believe. That was the run I had the 12.069 @ 115.
