I woke up at 0130 after having a dream of having a forked tongue and thought to myself yeah I would love to have it, so I picked up the laptop and hit up every single sight I could find information on and watched every video on YouTube about it. Before I fell asleep at 0530 I sent a message to a medical friend of mine requesting a scalpel handle, a few #11 blades, 2x2 and 4x4 gauze (LOTS OF IT), sterile gloves, and some 5% salt water solution.
So at about 0900 I decided it was time to do this, I laid out all my equipment and took one last look at the one piece tongue inside my mouth. The first step was to cut the top of the tongue to make a good line for me to follow, I used my old piercing hole as a reference and began to cut.
This picture is after the top slice was made, I took it with my Blackberry sorry for the quality.
After that was said and done, I slowly cut the tip of the tongue in half, this was the very worst part due to all the nerve endings but it wasnt unbearable by any means.
As I slowly and carefully cut further into the meat it began to hurt less and less, actually I dont think I cut much meat because the tongue is divided into two separate columns of muscle. Once I cut into the old piercing scar I stopped, using the old scar as an anchor to help prevent some regrowth. There will be minor growth that requires cutting but that is over time.
Surprisingly there was very little blood other than when I hit a blood vessel, I applied pressure and kept the gauze packing there for a few minutes until the bleeding stopped. This is another Blackberry picture from yesterday after the cutting and bleeding was done.
Pain wise on a scale of 1-10 this would get about a 4 from me, it hurt less than my nipple piecing, a little more than my PA, but not as much as being kicked in the face.
So without further ado here are the pics from this morning, there is visible healing going on, I can stick my finger into the opening and it just feels like im rubbing part of my tongue. No discomfort while sleeping, no bleeding or drooling, im pretty satisfied.
