    I have heard everything at the track, since I was 12 years old watching supercars go by in the Paddock, and hopefully scoring a ride. When i'm not there sometimes I like to watch some of the best sounding cars in the world and pretend I don't have work and a test to study for...

    Note: turn everything around you down and the volume UP, or you won't get much appreciation for these fine noises.

    The best sounding cars in the world (well with less than 600hp i.m.o) should atleast rev to 7600RPM. But 8500 is amazing, especially in a car you could daily drive, some with 4 doors that'll wrap Green Hell in less than 8 minutes with 7 gears.

    VR6's do sound amazing, although they don't rev much past 7k and in order to rev high, the motor needs to be built which normally = a much more exotic sound. I think the VR motors are an exception though...

    I.M.O if you blind folded someone who didn't know that muchaabout cars and put the same cut outs on an Econoling van he wouldn't know the difference. Some of the best sounding cars at the track are built Z06's (7500rpm+) with Corsa and no cats, but I couldn't find a video. Brutal, but very refined hence why Corsa = $$$
