Lol, isn't GM now selling a Vert Z06 or maybe next year. Thought I read that somewhereSeems like you'd really be messing up the zo6's structural rigidity IMO. I'd have started with a C6 vert. and swapped the fenders etc

i love verts, they shouldve made these. most older dudes like verts better than coupes, and they prob couldve sold alot of them.

plus not a fan of verts at all...
dont see how that car is a fail. the only fail is that gm didnt make the z06 verts.
Caravaggio is an awesome company but I thought they were more into high class interiors than chop/cut/rebuild sorta stuff. You cant really chop the top without losing structural integrity so that's a no-go for me at any price.
GM is selling a Grand sport package that puts a full Z06 bodykit and brakes into a C6 vert but not the motor. Guess they'll do anything to make money at this point.
The C6 ZO6s don't have those intakes.Originally Posted by Magnus213
Cool idea...I guess. I wouldn't buy a performance model without a roof though. That's why I don't understand the Spyder versions of the F430 Scuderia or M3 Convertibles etc.
?? The Z06 and ZR1 have the rear brake intakes.Originally Posted by VooDooXII

Well I obviously don't know what I'm talking about...haha.
I thought he was referring to these.

i like it, looks like its done well.
Z06s aren't supposed to be verts.
Thats the C5 Z06Originally Posted by VooDooXII
The C5s don't have them, neither do the C6s. It makes C5Zs easy to spot from the side.
Stylin' and profilin'...that's most Vette owners.

I like the idea but the actual car, as stated before, will lose its performance on teh track. I would fell really sorry for the wind shield cause its going to take a lot of damage in the turns.

I agree. I mean...why buy a performance model if you're going to sacrifice your handling when you don't need to? Unless showing off is that important...Originally Posted by EJ25RUN

The Corvette base model is a better performance platform than most cars on the road, to begin with. The whole idea of the Z06 was to make the cars PURELY performance-oriented.......so they are always hardtop and always manual transmissions. It was actually odd they even added options for the Z06, since the car is supposed to be focused on performance rather than comfort.
Having a convertible would just completely go against the whole idea of the Z06.
