Thread: King of the Single Cams v2.0 & King of the Dual Cams Race at SDR!

    Default King of the Single Cams v2.0 & King of the Dual Cams Race at SDR!

    We are doing it again. Should be a little cooler this time. Will post up updates as they come along. Hope to see a lot of single/dual cams out there racing!


    Here are the details:

    What -- King of the single cams V. 2.0 & King of the Dual Cams - Powered by JJSPEC Racing and SIlver Dollar Raceway!
    When – August 22
    Where - Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, Ga
    Who - Anyone who likes to race and has a vehicle that qualifies(see rules)
    How much - Buy a tech card which is $25 (including entry fee to the track). If you want to run in the index race it will be an additional $15



    SOHC Rules:
    1. Vehicle must be powered by one single cam piston engine
    2. Displacement limited to 2.4 Liters
    3. Multiple power adders allowed
    4. FWD Slicks allowed, maximum size 26 inches, RWD drag radials or street tires
    5. NHRA sportsman style ladder will be used after 2 qualifying runs. 8 car field, if over 12 cars will do a 16 car field.

    Payout will be as follows:
    $15 from each entry will be put in a pot and from there
    The winner gets 50%
    Runner up gets 30%]
    Semifinalists get 10% each

    In addition:
    1.JJSPEC Racing will pay an additional $100 to the winner.
    2.Go Autoworks is going to pay $50 for best 60'
    3.JJSPEC Racing will pay $20 for best reaction time
    4.Top dead Center Perf. in Mobile AL will pay $50 for best mph

    Trophies for Winner. Runner up, Best R/T and 60 will be given out also



    King of the Dual cams...


    DOHC Rules:
    1. Vehicle must be powered by one single cam piston engine
    2. Displacement limited to 2.4 Liters
    3. Multiple power adders allowed
    4. FWD Slicks allowed, maximum size 26 inches, RWD/AWD drag radials or street tires
    5. NHRA sportsman style ladder will be used after 2 qualifying runs. 8 car field, if over 12 cars will do a 16 car field.


    and possibly putting the winners from the single cam and dual cam race against each other for bragging rights

    post up and let us know who would be interested in doing a race of this nature along with the single cam guys


    Payouts are as follows....
    $25 tech card, of which $15 from every tech card will be put back in for a purse - 50% to the winner, 30% to 2nd, and 10% each for 3rd and 4th
    1.IMPORTATLANTA.COM HAS POSTED AN ADDITIONAL $100 TO WIN THE DOHC CLASS

    2.Lightning Motorsports is giving (DOHC Class only):
    $20 gift certificate for Best R/T
    $50 gift certificate for best 60 foot
    $50 gift certificate for highest mph

    -trophies given for...
    best R/T
    best 60'
    1st/2nd place
