To wait for Windows 7 or not...

Well my laptop got stolen recently, and I want a new one. I have computer access at work though, will have it at school when I'm back taking classes, and can borrow my brother's at home. So I can survive without my own computer right now, but it really sucks not being able to have my own music, pictures, settings, etc.. Would it be worth it to wait about 3 months like this just for windows 7? Im thinking it might be even longer than that, because once its launched it will still be a while until its available at stores. Do prices for laptops stay about the same when they start coming with a brand new OS?

if you really want windows 7 you can download it and install it on the new laptop.

Most new laptops that come with Vista are including a free Windows 7 upgrade.

You can run the RC until March (past March it'll cut out every two hours, until June when it just quits completely). If you you buy a computer with at least Vista Home Premium, then you'll be eligible for the free Windows 7 upgrade.

If you have vista it's a free "Update" type deal from Microsoft because Vista sucked so hard.
I'm running the Windows 7B beside me and it's got a lot of improvements over Vista including a virtual machine that runs XP which is a big help.
