They are cracking down majorly, i just saw 7 Gwinnett PD's on bikes rolling out together.

Suwannee had Gwinnett PD officers standing in the middle of the raod, out of the car. Looking for people without seatbelts and pulling them over last thursday nite. They mean business end of this month.

They must have been off today, I drove from dawsonville to thornton rd and back without spotting a single cop, average speed 80mph. It hard to get thru cobb and fulton counties without spotting a trap. I love it when I catch cobb shooting lazer off the overpasses with a row of cruisers sitting on the entrance ramp.

ya they had 3 bike cops on barrett prkwy just standing there as one was shooting for speeders and the other 2 were walking out stoping people and thats something i have never seen in that area in the 11yrs i have lived here

Saw a few on Jackson Street in downtown Lawrenceville the other day. It goes from a 45 on New Hope to a 35 on Jackson. Speed trap galore, and L'ville tickets are double Gwinnett County tickets for speeding. Ask me how I know...

Haha they do that all the time. Its funny because Cobb police seem to do it in the same places all the time, and yet locals still drive like idiots in the areas they watch most.

This might explain why I saw 3 cops on the side of Macland road at 5:45am on Wednesday. I guess they were looking for all the speeders that thought it was too early for a seed trap A.K.A. me. Luckily I was trapped behind to slow asses or I would have been nailed as I am usually topping 70 in that area.

I've seen a Gwinnett cop take radar around a curve at Discover Mills and walk out in the road to stop someone. What happens if you hit him? I know you were speeding etc but he DID walk into a 5 lane road (if you count the middle turn lane). You could have hit him either way, speeding or not.

I guess that's why I saw like 5 cruisers today on the side of the road.

Not to thread jack or anything but I always wonder if a cop has jurisdiction in another county or city other than their own. I know GSP has jurisdiction everywhere in GA but for example, can a Gwinnett County cop pull me over in Dekalb or Fulton County? Or can a Doraville or Sandy Springs cop pull me over if I'm not in their city?
