I've been watching the special on him on NBC. It's very admirable that they can give the man his props even though he worked for CBS. After all, he WAS the news for decades. It's amazing a journalist can have that much influence.

I have to disagree with this statement though. This country is full of mindless sheep that believe everything they see and hear at face value.

^I'm actually agreeing with you by that statement. He is after all just a news reporter. Back then, people took everything they heard to heart because of the lack of media to contradict what they heard from the big 3 on the nightly news(ABC, NBC, and CBS).
