Default Batlground MR2 Intercooler, exhaust, and tune

We just finished this car yesterday.

It has an upgraded intercooler and custom piping that we made at our shop. It also has a custom exhaust that we made about 2 years ago. We tuned it today with an safc and ran 14 psi of boost on it with a greddy profec b. Here are the results.

Hes rebuilding the tranny on the VR4 last I talked to him (last week). Says by August 5th he'll be back on the road with turbos making somewhere in the 800-1000hp range. that thing is beastly. He was running it NA, and it was making the same power I am with 12lbs boost

...Then he shredded a carbon fiber drive shaft... But thats replaced now.

nice work but are you not worried about that screw/bolt being so close to the sidewall of the tire?

  15. #15

That is on the body shop to fix that. I have dyno'd the car and it does not scrub. The wheel cambers in under that compression as well so it does clear. I would not have made the fender flares mount in that way tho.

If you don't mind me asking, what made y'all choose not to go with a oil catch can? I see that the vent from the valve cover is plumbed back in before the turbo, is there any reason you did that vs. running the common catch can setup? Doesn't any blow-by oil that gets in through the turbo lower the effective octane of the fuel?
    Who knows?

thanks guys. Catch can was not wanted. I agree that it can cause a problem "polluting" the clean air. I also agree that maybe a different lass busy wheel would make a huge difference in the over all appearance of the car. there is NO2 ran but not functioning, as well as a really killer ICE system.

idk if its so much that the wheel is busy...but it just shows off alot of the under-carraige of the car. so it looks dirty. plus the flash from the camera shows off all the imperfections in the wheel. im sure it would look much better with natral sunlight on it

This is a customer car we are currently working on. Pretty bad ass set up that had been murdered by someone. Wiring nightmare has been remedied, as well as some mechanical and tuning problems. Precision 67mm DBB T3 turbo with front facing manifold. Hydra EMS. CCW 19's look killer in black with this colored body. Will have some more pics and numbers when finished.

That thing looks familiar. I remember that car several years ago. I dunno what was done but I had some pictures of it from way back. Hope you guys get it squared away. Nice car! Very hot with the front mounted turbo, and the wheels.

Hopefully none of the problems arose when the car was at "your old shop".

This car was a disaster and there is no excuse for the way things were done.
