    Default Simple Fix I Guess

Got the comp all wired and ready to go except the hard drive. Well Im transferring the old hard drive to the new one. Im using SATA connection not IDE but my question is will it work? And how can I remedy this without having to buy a new hard drive...because Im really not in the mood to that.

you have an older IDE drive and you are wanting to transfer the data to your new SATA or you still want to use you old IDE drive?

to transfer if your board has both IDE/SATA then just hook up both drives and transfer or you can use a drive converter.

if you want to use your old IDE drive on sata i'm sure someone has made a converter but i would suggest just buying a new sata drive they are cheap.

I dont think it's going to work due to the older hard drive was wired to an AMD processor and the new one is Intel. FML
