IA I need your help...

i have this old laptop at home (HP Pavilion ZE5300), it's fairly decent, for an old machine, my charger (the power cord) doesnt work anymore. i want to install a linux OS in it, maybe slackware, or another good distro out there ATM.

i found a few universal ones, one at best buy and at micro center, and they were like 80 bucks....

can anyone help me find a cheaper one? maybe a hook up?

I know its cliche to say EBAY but ive ordered about 10 generic chargers online and havent found any retailer than can beat ebay prices.
