Default Pics from my Uncle's car show (SC), and shop...

Just sharing some of the pics I took at a car show that my Uncle Pete hosts at the local tech college (Trident Tech; Charleston, SC) every year. He's been a teacher there while running his shop, but he's retiring now and this was his farewell show as director. I also included a few pics of some of the new setup for his '67 Chevy II Nova.

    On to the pics:

Autometrics came with their race hauler and a fleet of cars, including 2 GT3 Cup Cars, 2 street cars, and a GORGEOUS Ford GT.

    996 Cup Car...

    997 Cup Car...

    993 Bi-Turbo on Fikse FM10's...air cooled hotness...

    Close up...

    996 TT...and an interfering pole...

Towards the end of the day, during their display tear down...

Monte Carlo...SBC...big blower...apparently, it had running issues. My Uncle said somethin about it pumpin gas out of the exhaust pipes...

    C5-Z06...

Probably the best Mach 1 I've ever seen in my life. The engine bay was gorgeous.

And what is a Car Show without big nasty Camaros...

This one will lift the front tires easy...

My Uncle's '67 Chevy II...powered by the 400 smallblock out of my Grandma' station wagon...no lie...

    Baby-eatin Vette...

Gorgeous 280Z...converted to mass air flow/fuel injection...

    More coming...

    More Z...

    Classic Porsche Speedster...

Alf-Romeo...it sat in a barn for 10 years, and has only been out for 4 months...the owner was pretty cool

    Mugen Si...

    Some other Camaro...

    El Camino w/ LSx power...

    Triumph GT-Six...classic British sports car...

Now I know about MG. But I've never seen or heard of this car. But it's constructed out of DRY CARBON.

    More from the Autometrics camp...

    Roadrunner...

And now the pics from my Uncle's shop...

    427 Nova...

Wall-o-SBC...and probably some big block stuff as well...

$$$$$ front end setup for his '67. Heights Front end. Wilwood brakes. It's going to save him about 250 lbs by removing the heavy steel steering rack and pitman arm.

    3 lb. aluminum calipers...

He intends to put this in soon...as well as his 406ci nitrous motor...he's been running all motor for years. His new setup consists of Manley Rods and SRP pistons...should be even more badass than it already is...

Hope y'all enjoyed the pics...Next session of pics should be of him at the track...

It was a def. eye catcher. As odd as it sounds, I fell in love with the '70 Mach 1. The guy has owned the car for 5 years, bought it with no powerplant. My uncle says he paid too much for it, but the guy wanted a legit Mach 1. I can't fault him for that, haha.

The story behind the Alfa-Romeo is a pretty good one, too. Not much else to tell aside from the caption I put above it's pic.

Haha, my uncle turns 65 on Wednesday. He was a shop owner since the 80's, and taught mainly night-classes at the tech school on the side. He sold the public shop a few years back, and continued to do work out of the shop on his property.

He started hosting the car shows in the school parking lot 18 years ago to raise funds for the auto-tech program. They'll keep doing the shows, but since he's retiring from the school, he's also turning over the controls of the car show to the program director.

He's a great person, and has helped a lot of the local guys out. He's where I got my desire for cars/racing, and he's also to blame for me being overly-anal when it comes to attention to detail and racing safety.

Wow. The Vette looks like the Batmobile. I love it.

Also really dig that Cale Yarbrough special Cyclone. I watched him race when I was like 10 or something. Rare car.

    Good photos.

Is that a true Yenko or a cloan?
(919): so I was just driving high and I stopped to let a pinecone cross the road because I thought it was a hedgehog.

No idea. It belongs to a friend of my Uncle's. I'll be back there in a few weeks, so I'll find out for sure.
