where to start

I guess I will by saying that i have a thread posted up in the WTB section for a set of racing seats for an eg/dc chasis.

Reason being for this was because i have gsr leathers, and due to summer, i need something cloth.

So Mr stephencook1 posted, as yall may be able to see in my thread..

ive got a set of ractive racing seats (black) with harnesses and rails if you want to trade me for the gsr's you got....lmk

so I pmed him telling him about the condition of my seats, which is far from perfect...

cool.. and just to make sure, you know about the minor rips? just rips in the leather..

nah i didnt know about the small rips in the leather....do you have civic ex seats still? if you can get me a set of front seat belts and seat belt clikers i will trade you....id like to see the gsr before i decide which ones i want....so dont get rid of them....

as you can see, there are CLEAR pictures of the minor rips (with captioning) to show their is damage..


so anyways, stephencook1 was like, yeah, ill straight trade with you.. he also asked if i had a spare set of seatbelts, which i told him i could get a hold of some for him... (i purchased some from importmyth01)..

so anyways, we agreed on today (tuesday) as the day i would drive up to meet him.. (im sure yall see where this is going by now) he also inquired that he needed a set of floormats and REAR seatbelts as well.. so i decided i would include them too.. i figured i would help him out since i wasnt going to use this stuff anyways..

so today comes, i call him at 2:30pm saying im headin on my way, he was like cool.. OH, forgot to mention, im located in columbus, he is in villa rica (2 hour and 1 minute drive).. i told him i had all the stuff, and was even gonna bring the gsr leathers if he wanted to change his mind.. so i load 2 pairs of seats, two floormats, and go to pick up all the seat belts and im on my way..

i get there around 5'oclock, he meets me outside of his house.. i take a look at his seats, which were a little more faded then expected, but i wasnt too worried.. he takes a look at my seats, then just starts rambling about a whole bunch of random stuff.. we talk (much more him then me) for 45 minutes.. i was finally, so what about these seats.. he said that he doesnt know if he can do it because they "arent what he expected"..

im sitting there kind of just dumb founded.. after about five minutes i throw him an offer because i really didnt want to leave with nothing.. i told him he could take both the civic seats and the gsr seats, the floor mats, and the seatbelts.. he still didnt want to do it..

so now im at a loss.. i have wasted 5 and a half hours of my day, plus gas money.. i wouldnt have been so upset if he wouldve offered to pay for gas or wouldnt have known about the damage before hand, but he did. I personally like to think of myself as a honest guy, and i have many people on here that will vouch for me on that..

anyways, my ramblings/venting is now complete.. thanks, and buyers beware..

1. The seats are not in terrible condtition, they are EXACTLY as described in the thread.. the gsr's might be in so called "terrible" condition, but that is not what we were trading for anyways..
2. YES, i did think you were going to trade for them, HENCE my spending over 5 hours on my day off this week to go trade with you!

no, i had never even offered the gsr seats.. i had mentioned in a post somewhere i had a set, so when he inquired about them, i told him about their condition.. this trade was for the stock civic seats only. i just decided to bring the gsr seats just in case he might have wanted them instead, even with the condition they were in...
