Default Jaime Foxx apologizes to Miley Cyrus...

Jamie Foxx's Miley Cyrus Comments Were 'Hurtful,' Dad Billy Ray Says
'If I said those things about his daughter, he might not find it so comedic,' he says on 'The Bonnie Hunt Show.'

After Jamie Foxx apologized to Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus is addressing the comments Foxx made last weekend about his teen daughter.

"It was hurtful," Billy Ray said on Thursday's "Bonnie Hunt Show," according to Us Weekly. "There wasn't nothing funny about it. And, quite frankly, I think if I said those things about his daughter, he might not find it so comedic."

On his satellite-radio show Sunday, Foxx told the 16-year-old Disney star to "grow up," make a sex tape and do drugs. The comments were in response to a radio interview Cyrus did, in which she vowed to "ruin" Radiohead after they refused to meet with her.

Foxx has a 14-year-old daughter and addressed how upset he would be if someone had said what he said about her when he stopped by "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" on Tuesday. "I so apologize to [Cyrus], and this is sincere," Foxx said. "I am a comedian, and you guys know that whatever I say, I don't mean any of it. And sometimes, as comedians, as we do, we go a little bit too far."

He added: "There was a situation with Miley Cyrus, and I just want to say, I apologize for what I said. I didn't mean it maliciously. You know I'm a comedian. You know my heart. Miley, I apologize, so I'll call you. I got a daughter too, so I completely understand."

Earlier this week, a source told E! News that Billy Ray wasn't pleased to hear what Foxx had said about his daughter. "He thinks Jamie was out of line and didn't find any humor in it," the source said, pointing out that Miley had even met Foxx at the "Kids' Inaugural Concert" in January. "He doesn't understand why he would do that to Miley, especially since he has a teenage daughter himself."

Billy Ray, although understandable his reaction, waits until Foxx apologizes to talk about it? Let it go, man. He apologized and made it profound. Does Billy want to keep the drama going? Later, QD.

Thats what I was thinking..It was kinda hard to read the article cause it says he apologized then Billy Ray is whining about him not apologizing

The only thing I will say is that is Cyrus made the same comments about Foxx that Foxx amde, it would ahvebeen a racial incident. At the beginning of it, he started out saying "white bitch". If Cyrus came out talking about the black bitch Al Sharpton would be all over the news about how racist country music is.

Actually Jamie Foxx introduced race into it, I am simply calling it for what it is. If you dont think there is a double standard as far as race goes then you are simply blind to reality.

Or maybe I've noticed your fixation on race. In any thread where race is even the most minimal of issues, you have to chime in, singing the woes of the victimized white man.

And you see no issues with blacks playing the race card, yet whine if anyone else does.

If you dont think that what Foxx said at least had racial tones to it, then nothing I have ever said on this site even approaches racist or "victimized".

Dear closeted and sometimes not so closeted racist,
Please point out, with credible evidence( read: posts that I have ever made), to support your claim that I have ever advocated the use of this so called race card.

YOU came into this thread spouting off about race.
YOU are quick to enter any thread with relation to black/white ppl and spout off about double standards blah blah blah.

YOUR gimmick is old. Get over yourself.

Enjoy your steaming pile of fail.

Hmmmm, the "IF's" of the race card never ceases to amaze me. Understanding the history of racism, who abused and exploited it, and who still uses it to their advantage, I clearly understand why you would feel that way

Oh, Jamie Foxx is a comedian, lol........Cyrus, not so much funny

So he does find it funny?

Maybe a bad choice of words for Jaime Fox, but you can just blame it on the alcohol.

I heard of the apology but this is the first I heard of the comments. I agree that they were a bit harsh and overboard especially calling her out of her name. As far as race goes, racist comments are subject to history of the remark and intent of the person. The media is only concerned with making money, and calling out black people that are racists generates minimal gains because most people could care less about it. Ugly truth, but true.

However, if you feel passionate enough about it, call them out. A word of caution though, this world is full of 'ignorant', insert racist if you want, people so you might not have time for a life if you're thorough in calling out 'everyone' that fits the bill.

El oh el @ Miley Cyrus saying she can 'ruin' anyone.

She's too young and childish to be considered a role model and I'll be glad when she grows up, releases a sex tape, and gets hooked on drugs.

I was wondering when someone would comment on what brought this whole thing up. It seemed to me she was out of hand to begin with. I think she definitely deserved for someone to say something; although I wouldn't have taken it as far as Jamie Foxx did.
