RAFFELLOs IN north ga. ( oakwood) to be exact , is the best italian food i have found.
You could also try this place, I can't remember the name of it's but it's on Gwinnett Drive in Lawrenceville. Next to Car Toys. That place is good. Or you could just eat my Mom's cooking. Now that is real, authentic Italian
Yea, I want to know whats good italian according to an italian! I find it hard to take someones word on good italian that has only had chef boyardee!
I went to the place on Gwinnett Drive with my mother. You talking accross the street from the gas station right? My mother loves the hell out that place. She talks to the owner like they are best friends of something. LOL, loser

Hey! Don't call your Mom a loser! LOL Yeah that place is right across the street from Shell I think it is? And right near Central Gwinnett. But, yes sir, very good.
Look in the pages for Scallini's or Provino's, they have about the same menu. Both are really good.
Dude i promise you wont find anything equivalent... italian foods... pizzas... bagels... just arent the same here...Originally Posted by Speed_Freak
The trick is to just think of them as a seperate entity.
In Buckhead: Maggiano's (http://www.maggianos.com/), La Grotta (http://www.lagrottaatlanta.com), and there's also a little place on E. Paces Ferry...Antica Posta (http://www.anticaposta.com/).
I am italian and I also cook for my friends, I think I can be qualified
This is my list.
1. Antica posta (absolutely perfect, no difference from an italian restaurant)
2. Sotto Sotto (Virginia Highland, great food, noisy restaurant, wine list expensive)
3. La grotta (good food, definitely not a causal restaurant)
If you like pizza then you can go to:
1. Fritti (Virginia Highland)
2. Baraonda (close to the Fox Theater)
Anything else like Maggiano's, Buca di Peppo, Maccaroni Grill, they are not original italian, you may like them but they are not original.
but u know wut i really miss is my bacon, egg and chesse
