Head unite and in dash monitor

Hello, I have a alpine 9830 and i want to get a indash monitor. I was wondering if i need anything to connect both of them and some type of screen saver will pop up. Dont have the monitor yet because i dont to spend money on something that wont work. Do i need a processor to connect both together and the PS with it as well? Well thanks for reading my post.

you can play the CD's in the PS and use the visualizations from that but I don't know of any stand alone monitors (no cd/dvd) that have a visualization unless its coming from a different source...
