    Default wtf is this bug? i know someone knows, lol

    anybody know what this is? i've only seen it since moving to ga. i dont know where it comes from, but i think it crawls under our french doors from the deck.

    looks like a house centipede

    have you looked into maybe replacing your threshold or maybe installing a door sweep for the bottom of your door for a better seal?

    hey it is! lol. i just googled it. didn't know those are centipedes, these are the centipedes im accustomed to:


    ^ with the hard shells

    and yea, we replaced it, but now that i look at it, it appears there is still somewhat of a gap.

    no prob, i actually thought it was a silverfish at first, so i googled it and that led me to finding the house centipede. i hope i never see one in my house because that thing looks scary as hell LOL

    those are actually poisonous and can cause severe health problems if they bite you and it's not taken care of immediately.

    Ive just always seen the big red centipedes, never seen one like that. and yeah centipedes are poisonous, be careful.

    i see them in my basement every now and then. they smash really easy.

    Edit: after looking at the pic again i must say, THAT FUCKER IS HUGE!! never seen one that big.. id be worried.

    Actually those are beneficial bugs. They prey on other undesirable bugs like cockroaches and spiders.

    They are not harmful to humans.

    i hate those things.. we get em in the apt from time to time.. look creepy as all get out!!!

    they look like a cross between a centipede and a "camel cricket"... (i could be wrong on that name.. just always been told that's what they were... those crazy crickets that look half spiderish)

    yeah used to get those in my old house

    they chill alot and give you chances to kill 'em but don't spook them, those motherfuckers RUN FAST AS FUCK and have crazy ninja like agility and shit

    Anyway, some centipedes are poisonous, some not.

    Even if it is poisonous, the worst you'll get is a rash from where it contacted your skin. They are nowhere near as poisonous as snakes and spiders, and they rarely "bite" as their fangs don't puncture human skin very well. Mostly the poison gets on you when they secrete it out and you get a rash in the shape of their tracks.
