the primary benefit would be engine bay space. in my old 240 i found some hack on the old 240sx.org site to re-wire the existing electrical fans, and remove the clutch/fan. it gave me A LOT of room in the front of the motor, and there weren't any power gains. (btw, the "hack" is for an s14) http://www.240sx.org/links/installs/efans/index.html

BINGO! Electric fan takes a large draw off the accy drive on the engine. Although i will admit, putting an e-fan on my s13 and getting rid of the stock fan & shroud did give me ALOT of room and made working on the front of the engine alot easier.Originally Posted by no mo hondas
