hwy: nothing, I early shift...always. 5k and shift.

rd: 1st gear, early wheel hop, shift 2nd, wheel hop yet again and I blipped the throttle a little bit for some fun. Ed was in the car with me.

Vipers have a HARD time hooking ESPECIALLY on run-flats. lol. They are so HARD tires. When you watch the vid when I leave the stop sign, I leave in 2nd gear and still lose traction at like 3k.

Also since it isn't my car, I dont know how to drive it very well.

C6 Z06 with bolt ons. I think the Viper is making about the same horsepower.

I've run quite a few convertibles into the ground, but never got to run a Coupe. The fact that this one has bolt ons makes it more appealing.

^The verts suck. I dunno why...they just don't seem to make any power. Also, the vert owners typically don't have any mods what so ever. I know 2 vert owners with exhaust systems (only cus I did them, lol)

Last time my dad dyno'd was at 511 hp. I believe has a tad more than that now. Maybe 515-520. I need to take it to a dyno.

Nice. Well I was beating Verts when I was stock, haven't raced one since I got my mods....I'm sure it would be ugly.

But I think the C6 Z typically dynos about 10rwhp higher than the SRT-10 does, and I know the Coupes are faster (especially on the highway). So the fact that this one has slightly more HP as well as a better gear makes me think it'll be even closer.

Z weighs about 3110 - 3115 with half a tank of gas and me not in it, according to the SDR scale. I've got somewhere between 495 - 510rwhp (never seen it dyno'd over 480). I've got the stock 3.42 gears. I know with the much lower redline, the stock 3.07 gears in a Viper has almost identical shift points to me. The 3.55 will be a little different, but I'm sure you could still go from 50mph from 2nd gear (you'll just shift sooner than me, although you'll more than likely be in your powerband and I won't be when we start).

I raced a Vert with 3.73 gears several times when I first got the car, and we never had problems going from a roll. A couple times he wanted to start at 70mph so he could be in 3rd, but it didn't help him at all lol

Here's a video of me running an SRT-10 Vert when I was bone stock. He just had a slip on Borla exhaust with no cats. I screwed up the first run, but the 2nd is pretty much how every run with a Viper convertible went for me. Don't know what it's like when you run one (sorry the sound is gone, they removed it because of the song in the video):

dayum. I know my dad lost to a Z06 when I was in the car with him. it was a goofy race but the Z06 took off like a bat out of hell. I am assuming he had spray.
