    Default rewind an alternator????

    anyone know where i can get my alternator rewound to put out a high amperage. The alternator is for my h22 and is currently 80 amps. i would like around 120 - 160 amps if possible.

    Why not just buy a higher output alternator?

    because ive only been able to find one company that makes one for my car and its $670 bucks and an alternator isnt worth that to me

    Then have someone fabricate a bracket to hold something like a GM one-wire alternator in it's place. Voila, 160 amps.
