I'm helping my friend sell his Prelude. It is not the prettiest car to look at by any means but pulls harder than any Honda I have driven. As of right now it will not run. We can't figure out what is wrong with it but it just wont crank up. It has a rebuilt motor (will find out when it was rebuilt), new transmission and clutch (still under warranty and have paperwork). There have been many things done to the car, too many to post.

The Bad: Does not run at the moment (will need to tow), the paint is faded bad, the rear of the car hit a tree: frame is fine, trunk will not close, rear bumper needs to be replaced, power steering pump is bad.

The good: Rebuilt motor, New transmission and clutch, pulls hard as anything, interior is 7.5 out of 10: replaced all the interior when was purchased, has a newer battery.

Dude....no offense, only trying to help. But if that car were damage free and good paint,with that many miles you would only get your asking price. Try closer to 1500, if not lower.

the body is a problem yes. But the engine does not have 212,xxx miles on it and niether does the transmission. The engine was completely overhauled and rebuilt and the transmission has probably 30-40k miles on it. I think it is a ignition switch or something to do with the starter is the reason why it wont start up...i know it looks like a piece but only a couple hundred bucks with mechanical will make this car run good.

the motor and trans are worth close to $2k...it says best offer but don't make any retarded ones like 900 and less. The motor has around 40k and the transmission and clutch have around 1k on them.

This thing lists for 2500 at our courthouse in fantastic shape..You'll never get 2500 out of that shell. I gave 1900 for mine in similar shape (rust) with 211K. I was about to start school and thought I absolutely needed the car. I even paid FAR too much. Sorry dude.

Edit: actually, on second look, my car was in much better shape than this one when I bought it. It didn't have any dents or paint peel, just a little bubbling...and it was mechanically sound.

He knows he isnt going to get that for the car...that is just a price because everyone on here lowballs like hell. The motor and trans are in excellent condition...throw out some offers and i'm sure that he will work on a price.

Have paperwork for the transmission and clutch on hand...he said he has to look for the engine paperwork but has it lying around somewhere. I know and he know's that it isn't going to sell for $2,500...gotta start somewhere because i know how people on here try to get shit for as cheap as they can. So throw out some offerers, the car is taking up a spot at our apartment complex and we need it gone.

I know for a fact he won't take 900 for it...the trans and engine are worth more alone. I'll ask but 900 isn't even a reasonable offer. The interior is just dirty and needs to be cleaned...carpet and things were replaced.

Don't have the time to mess with it anymore...we both work fulltime...as for pics dont have any at the moment...there are cars always parked on both sides of it so can't take full pics.
