~Project Car: Imported 1986 BMW 745i Turbo~

Well, I haven't had much time lately but since I cannot sleep, here is what I meant to do 2 months ago..

Problematik and I decided to buy ourselves a project car as a little Christmas present.. We both always loved the 745i Turbo and always wanted one..

To those who don't know, these were never sold in the U.S. market! The few rare ones in the U.S. were imported from Germany in the late 80's.. This one is titled (which is rare) and fully loaded.. I am not going to name all the options, but that leather is Water Buffalo Leather!

These things are beasts, they can handle lots of boost and offer easy hp gains.. I cannot wait to restore it and rebuild it.. We plan one day to have well over 450hp with a manual swap, BBS's and much much more!

It was bought in NYC and shipped over here.. The car is at Eurotech getting checked out right now, I will post more pics in the future and will make a build thread later on as well.. Oh and the car is Dark Gunmetal..

Damn, they seem like some bad ass cars. Definetly won't see any others around. I love how all the interior is written in German. Car seems to be in real good shape. Any rust from being up North?

^ Gorgeous!! We plan on red'ing out the taillights too! We have the executive package, is that the High Line package? Ivory leather, Leather dash/headliner/sun visors, I think so.. Wow what a beauty!

I will check the vin when I get back to Atlanta this weekend..

That's not a curb mark on the top left one, it's the clear coat peeled off in one spot.

I'm very jealous. Almost picked up one in highschool but I couldn't justify the expense of restoring it at that age. Best of luck and I can't wait to see how it goes

Actually wrong.. If its under the paint, you can see the paint bubble.. So there would be no question about whether there is rust or not, we would already know..

If it is under the paint, it is surface rust, and most cars that are 20+ years old have surface rust which is really nothing to worry about.. We don't even consider it rust..

The real issue is if there is rust on the frame, undercarriage, or even worst; shock towers..
