does suck they are getting rid of it, but i kinda understand why though. its not like everyone can afford the car. but chrysler is also getting rid of the pt cruiser, which i completely understand that. the car is a piece of shit anyway.
and the vette just seems to always be the underdog, and whatever they try to do to out the viper, it just never works, but then again, the viper is also running 2 extra cylinders which is allowing more power/torque for the car, might have a little more weight, but the power difference makes up for it.
and i had to post the vid since everyone was all like "zr1 kicked a ferrari's ass"

A guy I know ordered a new ACR a few months ago.
They are MEAN cars. I haven't driven one, but from the reviews and videos they are true raw driver cars and still beat the new age Playstation powered GTR type mobiles.

I can't find ANYTHING on it. I believe they are keeping it under wraps. I've been on viperclub.org and searched everywhere. I can't find anything on the ACR.
I know one reason is b/c Dodge doesnt care what the car makes in a 1/4 mile, don't we all know by now it's what you did around the 'Ring?

and im pretty sure ZR1s can run in the 10s.
C6 Z06s run mid 11s in stock form,and ZR1s will run high 10s..........these both faster than the stock Vipers they are up against.

What I find hilarious is the fact that the ZR1 cost $120,000 while the ACR cost $99,000. The ACR is N/A while the ZR1 is boosted. The ACR has already out ran the ZR1 with $20,000 less to spend. So, that being said...think what the Viper owner could do with that extra $20,000...
If the Vette actually out performed the Viper I would give them credit for it. But a drag strip is pointless. Exotic cars are NOT MADE for the 1/4 mile. They don't give 2 shits about a drag strip.

the vette is just a upgraded street car, ACR is a track car. the vette was behind all those cars, and all those cars were behind the Viper.Originally Posted by HypnoToad

vette is a good car, it just doesn't have what it takes to out-perform the acr. now, if the zr1 was focused on the aerodynamics and not the hp and 1/4 times then it could hang with the viper. wether you know this or not, the acr viper, is basically a base model viper with a very highly designed aero body.
for some, its not all about the straight line driving.
