i really dont understand why people say that, tebow has demonstrated time and time again that he can play the QB position. if the man is good then damnit he just is.

Tebow will never make it in the Pros, hes not a good anough QB and he wont be fast anough in the NFL to fit his play style.

the best QB in College is Colt McCoy at Texas,he will be a star in the NFL

Wont translate in the NFL. When you got guys like Urlacher and Julius Peppers.. a DE that would run Vick down, sorry. It looks really good in college (think Reggie Bush) but doesn't go well on the next level.

As a Florida fan, I'm pretty torn on whether or not he will be as good in the NFL. He's clearly shown himself as a leader, in that respect it makes me think he could make it. I think he will be able to play well in the NFL, but the problem is you have to design an offense around his style of play. I can't really think of any NFL teams that would fit him, except possibly Carolina. When Tebow plays professionally he's going to need a team with a very strong running game. I don't really know why people say he can't throw, his arm strength is more than sufficient and he's accurate enough. He wont set in immediately, but I think if he's given 2-3 seasons to develop he has a lot of potential.

And to Tony......Peppers, Abraham, Ware(not so much Urlacher anymore) will be a problem for any NFL QB. Tebow would have a much better chance at getting away from sacks than Peyton Manning would, so I don't really see that as a factor. He will still be able to get goal line touchdowns anytime imo.

Tebow will goto the pros, but he will go as a FB or maybe even a TE.

He has plenty of arm strength, and he is fairly accurate, but nothing special. All of his throws over 20 yards are basicly loops that allow the receiver to run under it. His release is VERY slow. His footwork from under center needs a ton of work.

If he does get drafted as a QB he will be taken as a 6th or 7th round flier to a team that has enough depth at QB to give them 3 or 4 seasons to develop him.

See it would disappoint me if he didn't get drafted as a QB, just like it would disappoint me if Vick came back as something else.

And I pretty much agree with you on all points, but he can throw a rocket at you. He's just a little inconsistent, however it takes a lot of time to fix that. I definitely don't see him starting his rookie season, he would not perform very well. He will definitely need a few seasons of getting adjusted to the NFL.

He will go pro. He will go in as a QB and get a chance to prove himself as one. If he does not do well, is forsee TE in his future. He is very athletic.

He's alright. When I watch him though I see nothing special. I think it's mostly just the system he is in. He isn't fast, he isn't extremely accurate either. He's just got a big arm and a bunch of weapons around him. I see FB in his future with the NFL.

man like i said, it really baffles me how people say he will not be a good QB on the next level. just look at what he is doing in florida, shouldnt that be enough evidence to draft the kid as a QB. just makes no sense at all to draft him as something else that he has not proven himself at.

that would be crazy, and every QB in the NFL is not all that accurate, even peyton has some that get away from him, so i think tebow deserves a shot at leading a team.

I think he will contribute as a QB at the next level with the right team in the right system. I do think he will be a late round draft pick though.

OU is much bigger than florida, and i think they are out for blood this time around. They know they are here by the graceof the BCS, so they better make it count.

I hate Tim Tebow! I really can't stand him!!!

Even tho I hate his guts, I respect his skills. He has the ability to make everyone around him better. So I believe he will become a NFL QB. How long he lasts? That's another story LOLOL

People were saying the same things about FLorida standout QB's such as Wrecks Gross Man too. How do you think that worked out? In fact, Wrecks had better QB numbers than Tebow does.

    As I said before.
    Pros:
Tebow has a very strong arm.
Accuracy is average for a College QB.

    Cons:
Passes over 20 yards are looping passes that simply allow the receiver to run under it.
He has a very slow release.
He is well behind the curve in reading defenses
He has poor footwork coming from under center

He has tons of natural talent, but he is FAR behind the curve in being an NFL ready QB. It will take a top notch QB coach 3 years to make him ready to play NFL football.

I just don't understand how people say he won't make it in the pros. He is tough as nails. He consistently gets hit every game by SEC defenses and it just doesn't faze him. He has a great arm, he is the 4th rated passer in the nation. His leadership is what sets him aside from everybody else though, he makes everybody around him better and want to play harder for him.

I see him as a Ben Roethlisberger type, in a run-oriented offense Tebow could thrive, plus i think he is a way better runner than Big Ben, making an offense like the Steelers a dangerous weapon with Tebow at the helm.

    i gotta say it...
but fuck you man, florida is my team. i'm a gator fan all the way. fuck OU.

teabow is a great QB, he will make it into the pro's. he was offered to go into the pro's now. but wether he takes it or not, is still a toss up. i think he might finish out his last year of college and then go. and the only reason why he wouldn't do good, is if he and his team aren't coordinate together. right now, everything is setup just right, he's got a good defense, WR, and RB's that work together. the plays they run, are sometimes hard to pick out, cause it could go from anything to an option play to him just running it, which is his last option if he can't throw. its why most of the time he runs it when he's in the redzone. too hard to throw to someone, and option plays wouldn't be to smart to try. too much room for error.
he's also up against McCoy for the Heisman. its going to one of the those 2 guys. for sure. but the big 12 teams all knocked each other off. Texas Longhorns>OU>TT>Longhorns. simply put. (and the TT/Longhorn game, was straight bad-ass)
he's got a hell of an arm and puts the ball where he wants it to go. he's tough as hell to be able to take hits like he did against bama, and still push the team down the field. that takes determination, to do that. and i gotta give it to bama during the SEC Champ game. played hard as hell, and i understand why they went undefeated for as long as they did. the gators may have lost the Ol' Miss, but that loss is the reason why the team is as strong as they are now. I don't know if you seen the press conference after that loss, but you can tell Teabow is the real deal. he was so upset about that loss, he about cried. and look where he and his team are at now.
you think OU is gonna be ready?
for his size, like 6'5" and weight, like 250, he's bad-ass. his major flaw, he isn't all that fast. he's got a good team to work with. he's a true athlete. and not to mention, the coach won't let him max out any further than 450lb bench pressin.
thats crazy. there is no other QB that is as big as he is.

tebow is overrated and florida recruiting is the best in the nation and has been for a few years now....when you put a college qb around any team like that they will shine.... I think chris leak was a better QB then tebow and he won't do shit if he makes it to the nfl....Maybe after 2 more years his game will be on point but those NFL defenses would be all over his run game.

Critical in the NFL. Vick couldn't read defenses so he had to run. Matt Ryan can read defenses but as we saw this season there is a learning curve even for the highly intelligent QB's. Tebow being less than average is a detriment.. rushing QB's don't translate to wins late in the season. Sure, they'll make the highlight real but as we know here in Atlanta that is not enough.

and apparently matt ryan being able to read defenses was not enough, and if vick could not read defenses, he would have not been atlanta's starting QB, its as simple as that. it just doesnt make sense to say he could not read defenses. there is really no such thing as a "rushing QB", i think its better fitting to say an athletic QB. i bet you was not saying rushing QB's(vick) cant translate into wins when we were in the NFC championship game when vick was at the helm. so yeah i feel that tebow will be a great QB, it just depends on which system he plays under.

I think after last night, it would be insane to change his position. Put him around the right weapons and you have a QB that will lead your team to the end. If he's given more time to get his release quicker and learn to read defense better, who knows where he could go with his career.

it all depends if he gets put with a team that will work with him.
everything as of now with florida is going good.....if he gets a team similar like it in the NFL, then he'll be good.
if not.....he's only gonna be known for his college playing.
