My 2 points of the game.... The calls all night were bogus, but that one "safety" call was absolute bullshit. He never went down, and I never heard any whistles.

Point 2... Brooking is done, I've said it all year, I love him but his days as a starter are over.

well i think one of the main reason we lost was because turner and norwood pretty much got canned, and ryan was some what out of sync.

You really are a dumbfuck. The whole team lost this game tonight. Ryan sure does know when to fuck up though, I think that second interception sealed the loss.

On to next season. Hopefully our defense steps it up next year.

lol, cut ryan some slack, he was a tad bit overrated to begin with. like i said before, folks need to chill out and just let the guy turn into something better instead of putting so much on him, but yeah he did fu++ up today.

Was wondering which chicken would choke.... I was rooting for the home team, but upset with all the die hard fans who were too excited over a possible wildcard entry.

If there was a mute button on these boards, you'd be the perfect subject for it... Pretty sure nothing educated nor insightful has ever come out of you.

He's a freaking rookie dumbass. Nobody said he was perfect, ever. He messed up just like several people, it's part of life. But that takes nothing away from his amazing start of his career, and the fact that you damn well know he's going to get better and better. So you can talk all the trash you want and keep swinging on Vicks nuts, but the Falcons are better off now than they ever have been. Sucks that they lost today, but they exceeded mine and everybodys expectations this year big time.

lol please lets not bring vick into this, outlaw said nothing about vick to begin with. you have to admit though, there are alot of people out there who have put ryan so high up that they feel the boy cant over throw a pass or throw a pick. so it probably shocked alot of folks that he didnt look so hot today.

You're right, he did. But you've consistently (along with VIP) trashed him all through the season. You always skipped the good to look at the bad, obviously forgetting that he is still a rookie. And when people point out the good and the positive, you think they're putting him on a pedestal and idolizing him.

Troy Aikman? Did you really include him with the other two? Stupidity, stupidity and more goddamn stupidity. You've got Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach, John Elway and you throw out Troy Aikman? Lolol. Now I'm convinced you don't know a goddamn thing.

Here's my well played, knock you back on your ass comment...."the biggest game of his career?" Are you kidding? This is his first season. He's (hopefully) got many more to follow. The word career cant even be used right now because, so far, he hasn't had a career to judge. Vick got through the first round only to lose the next one. So what? Ryan had a bad game and Vick didn't. It happens. Even your "great" Troy Aikman had a few of those.

He's actually rated right where he should be. He helped orchestrate a great turn around in a short amount of time. The overrated test will come next year in the test to see if he can keep up what he helped start. That outcome will determine if your jealousy is valid.

Awww, how cute. Someone on your level making jokes about trucking. Looks like someone's jealousy is overflowing. Can't afford what? I don't have to afford anything. I have 3 new cars paid for. I have a $150k house. Paid for. What do you have? That's right, not a goddamn thing. I'll always be better than you and you and I know why. Later, Your Father.

Here's what's funny about you, Poutlaw. You had a problem with me before and we straightened it out. Then, you decided to try and convince everyone of your new found "government conspiracy theory and no one fell for it. You got offended and now you're upset again because no one takes anything you say with a grain of salt. It's not just me. It's everyone. I think even VIP knows this. You're mad because no one gives a shit as to what you say because you never make sense. You always come off as an uninformed, uneducated person. You take me too seriously and get caught up in feelings. That's one of your problems. Later, QD.

In a sense, you're right. I'm sure a lot of people were disappointed in that game. I damn sure was, but I'm still very happy at what they DID do as to what they did NOT do. This where the test of true Falcons fans comes in. The bandwagon folks. They will be the ones to bash the Falcons for not being able to play in a pressure situation. They will be the ones who bash Ryan, and maybe Turner. There were a couple of straight up dropped passes that could have been game makers. Who knows, ya know. But this was Ryan's first playoff game. He succumbed. I'm still a supporter of his. He has shown me he has potential. Looking forward to his next year. Hopefully, he'll only improve. We'll see, though, huh. Later, QD.

Vick wasn't a rookie dumbass. Ryan's rookie season = leading the Falcons to the playoff and having the statistically best rookie QB season ever. Vicks rookie season = warming the bench for a year and a half.

I'm not gonna turn this into a Vick vs Ryan debate cause it doesn't friggin' matter cause Vick'll never play here again. All I'm saying is that the team is now setup better than it ever has been. We have the best front office in the teams history, we have our best RB since Jamal Anderson. We have a very promising ROOKIE qb, and a pro-bowl receiver. Not to mention we had what, 4 rookie's starting for us all year? Ya, I'd say we did pretty friggin' good in the draft.. Can't wait to see who Dimitroff gets us in the next draft.

yeah, did you hear the story about his older brother? the commentators were talking about how his football career was ended in a accident.

    PERFECT!!!

Except for one detail. Vick only started 2 games of his rookie season. And his first came at exactly the halfway point. Not a year and a half. Other than that, point definitely proven. He wasn't a full time starter until his second season. Later, QD.

your right, the team is set up better as far as coaching goes, let me drop a bit of knowledge down about vick, cause i think he did pretty good as a QB for atlanta considering his circumstances, check it. vick was under 3 different coaching changes(petrino, mora, and reeves) what messed him up, eventhough at times he still made it happen, was that gimmick azz west coast offense that knapp ran really did not utilize receivers for downfield passes. their was a number of players unhappy with knapps play calling. crumpler was the leading receiver for vick simply because jenkins and white were not developed, they were in their first and second years with vick. the offense overall was better in vicks first season as a official starter than his other years. offensive schemes have alot to do with a QB'S success. the current offensive coordinator for the falcons is murlakey, who was sought after by more than a few teams. gregg knapps west coast offense didnt allow audibles, so its not that vick couldnt do some of the things ryan is, its just that they were in different systems. why do you think gregg knapp got fired from atlanta, his scheme is crappy. any QB will struggle if the scheme is not right.

Two things wrong (as usual for you). What makes you think I haven't done anything for this country? And, what do you consider "milking?" Do you consider working everyday for the last 22 years (since legal working age) and never being behind in taxes as "milking?" Do you consider NEVER being on ANY government handout list as "milking?" I'm just curious as to your definition of "milking." Enlighten me as I'm sure you can. Later, QD.

Let me undo some of your "knowledge," sir. Vick never played under Petrino. Petrino came in for the 2007 season. Vick's last season was 2006.

yeah ryan rookie season was good, but that does not make him much better than vick just because vick did not start his rookie season and ryan did. both ryan and vick were drafted under very different circumstances. ryan was just tossed in there because the franchise was trying so hard to escape the shadow of vick and petrino. because if i recall correctly, redman was the clear cut starter in the offseason. it was a last minute decision to start ryan. whos to say that ryan will do good or bad next season, because the falcons have a very tough schedule next season.

Not saying Ryan is better than Vick on that note. Just on comparing the rookie seasons period.

An next year, holy shit at their schedule.

That's fucked up, lolol. Ryan will definitely get put to the test as well as the rest of this team. They're playing every playoff contender from this year (except NO and SF and Wash.). And even those three were competitors to a point. Later, QD.

*shudder* Eww... Redman as the starter, that'd be nasty. No, Ryan got the job because he beat out the other 2 (actually 3 if you include Harrington prior to getting cut) QB's. He was the best option, and he did a damn good job for a rookie. Ya he messed up here or there, but hell, everyone does. Did you see the pro-bowler Roddy White drop that perfect pass last night? Nobody is on point all the time. But as a general rule, you only get better with experience. So Ryan this year < future Ryan.

yeah i saw roddy drop that pass, all though ryan was on the money with the pass. its really not fair how a receiver can be paid so much to make a QB look bad. but i must admit roddy has grown to be more consistent at not dropping good passes, but you really cant bash a QB(like people bash vick) if a receiver consistently drops balls. but what about larry fitzgerald, boy we could use a receiver like that!

Same here. Like I've said from the beginning. I like what I see and I hope it continues, but you can't call him the man after just one season. I think he deserves everything he's gotten. I think the only people to put him on the pedestal are the "fans." Later, QD.

i heard that, so what do you think about joe flacco's chances today. if he wins, im sorry but dont you think they may have jump the gun with rookie of the year going to ryan? not to take anything from ryan, but the falcons were suppose to cruise past the cardinals

I see what you mean, but with an earlier post I made showing the numbers on each team, the Falcons were the team with the worst chance to even make it. They were only predicted to go 3-13 this year. The Ravens, although not much better, had a significantly larger chance of having a good year.

But I do see exactly what you mean. Depending on how they do, we'll see, lolol. Later, QD.

Peyton Manning couldnt win a playoff game in Indy until after the 2003 season. Even as good as he is, it took him 5 years to win one. He lost his first 2.

Ryan will be just fine. They need to replace Jenkins with a more stable receiver, and eventually do the same with White. I have a feeling they will have a shot at Dez Bryant out of OK St. in this coming draft. If they get him, he could be that other threat they need on offense.

The defense needs some youth. If they push the agenda of getting the defense younger, but keeping some of that experienced talent there as mentors they will get much better very quickly.

All I'm saying is we need to pick up Brandon Spikes next offseason(idk if he's declaring for the draft or not this year) to replace Brooking. You had a great run, Keith, but your old ass made a horrible mistake letting that tight end go.

And something to be said for Ryan this game, we wouldn't have put up a single point without his play. Our running game was completely stale, we would have been shut out if we relied on the run. He had a great first half after the INT. What really surprised me is we came out after halftime with absolutely nothing, not very typical of the Falcons. They tend to be pretty good with halftime adjustments.
