Thumbs up 1998 Honda Civic LX (NEW engine/tranny) superior handling!

For Sale or Trade I have a 1998 Honda Civic LX, 4DR, sedan car. It has power steering and ice cold A/C and heat. Everything works as its supposed to. NOT TO MENTION THE 30+ MPG! The odometer reads 381k miles, but I purchased a NEW D16Y7 engine and transmission from a certified honda engine dealer. Since the engine was replaced I have put close to 5,000 miles on it. Everything works as brand new. There are no problems with this vechile except the exterior could use a touch up of paint and a few dents out. There is no damage effecting the drivability of this vechile.

I have modified a few things to my personal preference including a Kenwood stereo, Street Edge amp, pioneer 10" sub, Street Edge Speakers, Streetglow interior lighting (not ricey), blue dome light, Mugen racing seats and 4pt harness , all of which will be included in the sale. My reason for selling is, i would like to have something a little more "sportier". Dont get me wrong, this is a wonderful car and its never given me a lick of trouble, its just time to move on.

When the engine and transmission were replaced, so were EVERYTHING else, so this is basically a 25,000 mile car, with all brand new OEM Honda parts. I cant say everything that was replaced with becuase it would take up the whole page. All maitnence was performed by an ASE certified Import specialiast, here in Blairsville. I HAVE ALL RECIPTS FOR ALL WORK DONE TO THIS CAR INCLUDING ROUTINE OIL CHANGES!

here are a few other things that the car is equipped with:

    Kenwood stereo ($90)

    Pioneer 10" subwoofer ($50)

    Street Edge amp ($190)

    Street Edge front/rear speakers ($100)

Stainless steel high-flow exhaust headers ($180)

    Stainless steel high-flow muffler ($200)

    17" Konig wheels ($300)

    Nitto neo-gen tires ($400)

    KYB adjustable shocks ($1,000)

    Brembo drilled brake rotors ($270)

    Blue/Green tint LED headlights/Sylvania Silverstar's (both are included)($45)

The interior is in good condition, however sence I bought it used, there were a few tiny issues I found. There is a tear in the vinyl on the driver door panel, the rear driver side door panel is (to my best guess) was chewed on by a dog, as well as the middle seatbelt latch, and a lower plastic trim piece is cracked in the back, and the backseat carpet is torn in the center behind the arm rest from where the audio cables were run under the carpet. Its a very minimal tear, you can sew it up and would never know.

The exterior is in pretty good shape. I will say, it has a few scratches and dings, but only if you look for them. The most noticable damage is on the roof of the car, where the paint had sun spotted and faded (just two small spots), and the passenger rear quarter panel was (to my best guess) hit with a basketball so theres a noticable dent there; The paint on the front bumper will need a touch up, it is chipping on one small corner and the back bumper cover is slighty cracked. Agian none of these are very noticable.

I am asking 6,000 and that is my bargaining price. THIS IS VERY FLEXABLE DEAL. And am open to trades. I am looking for a street bike (ninja, cbr, r1, r6, zxr) or a dual-sport (crf230l). I am willing to trade straight up for a good condition bike. Or, if you have a muscle car of somesort (newer body styles: mustang, camaro, ls1, corvette, whatver) I will consider those as well. Im also a big import guy so any good conditon turbo cars like rx7's, wrx's, mr2's, 240sx's, lancer evo's (yeah right), etc. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE!

it was just to much of a hassle to fish all the wires through the carpet; but the power and ground are underneath the seat. was just to hard to fit so many wires through that tight of a space..

you will never get what you put in back. I dont give a fuck if it has 5 miles on the motor the car is rollin up 400k miles.

best price if you could find someone would be 1/2 of your price so $3000 and since this is IA I will offer you $1200

yeah but the rest of the car dosent have 400k miles. like i said, EVERYTHING that could possibly be worn on or take wear was replaced with brand new parts.

the only thing left thats 400k is the frame, chassis, doors, glass, and interior.

I would get some factory wheels for that civic ASAP, those wheels look like their for a larger vehicle like an accord.

    lol my offer is 2850.

all its worth, after the 30 lbs of un-necessary wiring is removed, and all the ricer shit is pulled off..

this is the car game, you wont EVER get back out what you put into it, espically when you have a stock auto d series, you can buy em for like 300 bucks lol.

Be serious, man. This car, new motor and tranny or not. Is not worth 5 grand... your better off putting it in autotrader and hoping for the best... Still bet it won't go for that much...

but GLWS.... cause you'll need it

EDIT: 1000 dollars for ADJ. KYB's??? Are you serious??
