    Default civic seat belts

I just bought some rear seat belts from a buddy of mine, for the new owner of the hatchback. Anyways, the seat belts coiled up and now they won't release. How do I get them out? They worked before they coiled up.

1992-1995 REAR seat belts, if it makes a difference.

are they out of the car or mounted? try holding them right side up, if they aren't they will latch like you have wrecked your car.

i found out what you got to do finally, take the belts back out hold perfectly horizontal and pull on the belt until the tensioner releases,if this doesnt work LIGHTLY tap the side with a rubber mallet to pop the tensioner pin back down.
