Default Help with a 1988 Honda Accord

Long story short I'm helping a chick friend with her car.

I will be rotating her tires. What I need help on is some knowledge on why she doesn't have power steering. I know it could be either her belt or maybe she could be low on PS fluid. I don't know anything about Hondas so any help will be appreciated.

So you're saying that pretty much she needs a new belt? Or that maybe her belt needs to be tighten?

Check fluid, or the pump could have taken a sheet.

She's been driving with power steering for 6 months now.

But I'll make sure to do that. But um, how do you check the pump? lol

If you put fluid in it and the fluid bubbles/foams, and it doesn't feel like it has ps then you probably need to change it...

Theres a really small line that runs underneath the rack on the passenger side. It is likely that that line has a leak, mine did when I had my ps installed. Besides that the rest of the rubber lines run up the firewall and close to the reservoir, and the hardlines are close to the rack. You should be able to tell if youve got any leaks just by looking.
