    Default 2008 Black Friday= T3H Suck?

    So im looking at all the black friday deals, and most of its crap. Theres no really good deal going on that i can find.

    I was holding out to buy my 52-55in TV till Black Friday, and theres like 1 52in TV for sale and its $50 cheaper than on SlickDeals.net.

    Im not waiting in line for 9 hours to save $50, fuck that.

    Theres NO good deals on memory, like a 320gig HD is $99, shit Frys has 500 gig for $109.

    Really arent any good deals on Surround Sound systems.

    I mean is it because they cant afford to sell stuff so cheap this year, or is it because they are selling at the bottom of the spectrum already?

    or are they anticipating extremely low consumer spending so might as well try to get as much money for your stff as possible?

    thoughts?

    Man i have no idea. I get offers from gamestop, best buy, etc. and so far nothing makes me go OOOOOOOO I need to get that.Gamestop is over priced to begin with but best buy aint offerin shit right now

    Hey Mike, from what I know places like Best Buy, or Fry's wont drop their prices until Black Friday itself. Im currently looking at a Flat Screen 42" 1080P for 450.. But will only be avaible at the price on the actual day.

    These small hypes and reductions are just prices to get people to buy early at a lower rate but still allowing them(Best Buy, Frys) to make money of them. But from alot of reliable sources there will be cheap electronics on the day of.

    every year best buy does those door buster deals which are usually really good but you gotta be in line like 8am on thanksgiving to get a ticket for those. but i guess from what your saying, the door busters arent as good this year. if you haven't looked at a best buy ad for this week, pick one up and look for the door busters

    It's just a gimmick for "the sheep". If you tell half of America they are getting a good deal, they want to and will believe it (just like over half of them believe Obama gives a shit about them, and is going to make their lives perfect). Especially if you tell them the deal is so good, the store can only afford to sell 20 of them at this price, and they have to campout to get one. Anything that's in a black friday ad can be found cheaper if you know where to shop online. ]

    And anything at circuit city's going out of business sale (at 30% off), is still 20-30% more than you can get it online. No wonder they are going out of business.

    I don't know what you guys are talking about. Most door busters haven't been released yet. Everyone has just released their regular ads.

    Best Buy just released theirs this morning and it was pretty damn good. Dual Core laptop for $279! If anything, it's going to be better than past years so they can get out of the red!

    No good deal this year..... last year I did the price match thing.... bought a tv for regular price, then sleep in late and get it 'price matched' for the black friday price..... f*ck camping out...

    But this year's selections are weaksauce...
