05 saleen s281
had an 05 saleen S281 roll up on me this morning wasnt lookin to race but he kept pushing & pushing... i ended up getting him by about 3 cars we were rolling at about 45mph, so now he was real mad that a vw was beating up on his big V8 so 2nd race was about 30mph he had the jump (damn boost) but i got him again by a few cars. he didnt give a thumbs up. what a sore loser. i know its not a great race but not 2 bad for a vw

i did try to race a crazy ass blue srt-4 he deff was faster but i threw my SS track off in 3rd so i couldnt get it out! that sucked

you sure thats rear wheel horsepower or crank horsepower?
thats rear wheel although its only rated at 400. They are underrated like the 03 cobras.
there is no way a 281 SC engine can make 400 rwhp which is about 450-460 bhp with 3 lbs of boost! thats bs. also the car weighs about 3900 lb or more

it was actually 390 or so rwhp and thats what muscle mustangs and fast fords reported when they dynoed an 05 blown saleen. I really don't know if its true or not though..maybe that Saleen blower is really that good. Its a different blower then what comes on the 03 cobras.
i thought it was a saleen E281, pretty rare.. know someone who has one... fast as hell

As far as the saleen E -they are not even out yet,so there is not a power rating yet..They "say" close to 500hp..But hell the cost of it,will easily be over 75K .
The base sc saleen is 48k..Not exactly a bang for your buck car.

Give or take 5-10 horsepower. Which on a dyno a 99-2004 will put approx. 255-265 horsepower to the wheels. And they weigh in at like 4k. Thats a heavy ass car. Some of the SRT-4's have been know IN A 4 cylinder i mind you, have been known to easly get in the high 200 horsepower range. If that is the case. You take a lighter car with as much horsepower and yes it can do more damage then that big ass V8. All the saleens are over rated as they sit. You pay 45000k + for the same horsepower. So what are you buying, a freakn' Name!! Paul (Admin) can tell you we walked a Mustang gt, with aftermarket exhaust and a H-pipe on the highway. And im not talking barely. Gt's dont even come close to 255~265 at the wheels ,unless it has every bolt there is out there on it..As far as weight..They are not even CLOSE to 4k pounds.
Mine with everything on it,8 point roll cage,heavier that stock rims,1/2 tank of gas,and me in it is only 3610..
Lastly the 05's is a completely different beast.different engine.
It makes about 260rwhp stock..With minor bolt ons it makes a easy 285+rwhp n/a.
BAsed on what you know about stangs.Im sure you could have just raced a 6 cyl with a dual exhaust kit on it and thought it was a gt...There are a few of those running around..

well since were on the subject of mustangs....lets see here my plate on the side of my mustang WHICH IS A V6 mustang says it weighs in at 3600lbs. Now if im not mistaken a v8 would probably be weighing in a tad bit more then that. so yeah my math is right on that. and as far as the dyno's my best friend owns a stock v8 gt mustang, and he had it dynoed and it dynoed on a hot day at 255 to the wheels stock. His has a 2001 i dont know if they changed anything between 99-2004 except the years....
windsor it was probably 02-03 nothing special loud ass pipes is all he had b/c when the huge amount of black smoke came out we were already up next to him waving at him....
