I just bought a used 240 from my buddy.

everything seems fine with it.
but when I drive it through the gears I can hear the transmission working its ass off. It might be the throwout bearing, but I'm not sure.
I can't tell if its either low on tranny fluid or the gearbox is grinded down. 4th gear works fine and it sounds the quietest.

Its and original engine with 96k and same on tranny.

any suggestions?
