    its been debated for quite sometime. essentially its an Octane booster....manufacturers have warned about the corrosive capabilities the acetone would have on Kevlar/aluminum fuel lines....but there has never really been any proof...nor has there been for acetones capability to "double" ones gas mileage.

    Through even just the smaller tips, I was able to get around the range of 35 city/45 hwy and even once recording 47mpg on a non stop trip to Valdosta. Granted I have a very efficient turbo 4 cylinder that amounts to half the size of anyone’s normal sized commuter car, its still possible.

    An Rx-7 club member who normally gets about 19 mpg used a bunch of tips to get himself up to 33 mpg. He documented the whole thing in this thread.
