    Default need some help

i have a 96 civic and my heat doesnt work. i havent really heard of this being a common problem with these cars. so my question is before i go and spend money at a shop to fix it, i wanted to know if this could possibly be a quick fix. pretty much, the temperature doesnt change at all. its just as cold as it can get at all times.

second thing is, i have non power windows and on both doors the windows continue to go off track. i just stopped using them because once they go down, they wont go back up until i remove the door panel and unscrew it and relign it. i didnt know if i just need to suck it up and buy new doors with working windows or if there was a reason this is happening

    please help

i suggest NOT to get the haynes manual...you pretty much have to disconnect the negative battery cable to do anything, including looking at the car from a 1/4 mile away, find a chiltons manual or get a manual from hondahookup. as far as the heating problem, first try a thermostat and bleeding the system if that doesnt work then pressure test the system and see how it is then are there leaks, ect.... windows, lube up the guides see how that does (white lithium grease) you can always go to pull a part and get some new hardware for your windows make sure nothing is cracked broken or has too much play.

im sure with some good troubleshooting and taking your time with things you can get your heat and window control back!!! g/l, hope this helped!
