I have everything finalized with Ed and the event is locked in. They are going to take the money at the gate, handle the tech cards, the announcer and full staff just like we have done in the past.

Bugman Racing fun day at the Drag strip

Come out and enjoy a relaxing day at the track with friends and fellow racers.

This is the Bugday @ the Track which has been held for the past 5-6 years @ Carolina Drag way but moved to Silver Dollar Raceway this year.

The track is a 1/4 mile track but we will also be having several 1/8 races including the 10.5 SS and a 26 incher 1/8 mile.

Everyone is welcome to join us on this fun and relaxing day at the track. If you have never been to Bugday at the Track then you owe it to yourself to come out and experience one of the best track days of the year.

We have a fuel and Nitrous supplier that has agreed to be there and on site.

Cost to race will be $35 including car and driver. Spectators will be $10 with kids 10 and under for free as always.

Silver Dollar Raceway will have the concessions open for our convenience. This is a private rental track day.

The morning will be TNT as always with the classes starting in the early afternoon followed by more TNT if time is willing (which it usually is).

We are in the process of changing this event to a fund raiser for the family of a racer that we lost tragically yesterday morning.

Below are notes taken from another board that I am a member of. I rented Silver Dollar Raceway Nov. 29th for some private fun but we are turning that event into a fund raiser to try and help where we can. For those not attending or don't care for drag racing here is an opportunity to make a difference. This widow and her unborn child will be in a financial bind where we as a group can make a difference. Yeah I know the economy sux and yes I know the Holiday season is here but she has a child that will never know their father and you have a chance to help. There is no replacing the father nor her husband but we can relieve the financial strain to help her recover without additional worries as this.

Dated: 11/02/08 from Racer X: Michael Weekly Had a terrible wreck in Eatonton today ..he was life flighted to Grady memorial from the track .. not sure but looks like he lost control of friend John Hobbs nova about 200 feet out and hit the guard rail .. and 2 links of the rail went through the car and severed his left leg .. please keep him and his family in your prayers .. he is 27 years old and has a wife that is pregnant .. i just talk to his sister a few moments ago .. she said they didn't know if they were gonna be able to save his legs or not .. and said he will be in ICU for possibly up 2 6 weeks .. so please keep this family in your prayers

Dated today 11/03/08 from Racer X1: He passed early this morning around 6am .. from what i was told he was stable last night when everyone went home around 4 am .. they got a call around 5.50 am saying conditions got worse to get back up there and his heart stopped shortly afterwards .. very sad news for the family, friends and loved ones .. but keep his wife and unborn child in your prayers because i know they are truly having a tough time

Usually we have a limit but with the fund raiser we are opening the gates to who ever can make it. We need as many people as possible because every cent that goes over the rental cost goes into this fund instead of to the winning racers/classes like we usually do. We will also have a donation box there for additional donations that will go directly into the trust fund.

We now have all the information on the trust fund. It is set up in the name of the unborn daughter.

We will have a donation box at our trailer with her name on it for direct donations. At the end of the day we will count the donations from the box and add them to the fund as well as the track proceeds.

Invite everyone you know and let's help make a difference for a fellow racers family.

We finally get to see the top fuel Mr. Important again? That's nothing less than awesome. Austin and the wife have asked about you guy's several times and I keep telling them that we will get together soon.

I have a feeling that this is gonna be our best track day ever. It keeps getting better every year but this one may really blow it out of the water.

This is a dbl. whammy fund raiser now so if you have any old clothing of any kind please bring it for it will be going to the Central State Hospital which is in really bad need of clothing of all kinds.

Also the main event fund raiser for a lost racer leaving his wife and unborn daughter behind.

We have DOT, Street Radial, Open, 26x8.5, 28x10.5, grudge, call outs and a few others. Mostly TNT in the am and pm with the classes being ran around lunch til 2-3 pm.
