SVOs had a lot of potential, however other than 4V Cobras, the new 3Vs out do the prior gen 2v's by leaps and bounds. Not my opinion either, hard facts. Nothing beats a piped 2v though for sound however.

yea the 4banger mustangs rock. turbo or not. you have to be pretty crafty to mod them. like, headers/stock cams from rangers. some crazy bish somewhere along the line figgured out how to bolt a 16v DOHC cam froma volvo on a 2.3 mustang block. its pretty crazy. plus...9 get 30+ miles to the gallon. gotta love it

acccctually. the 5.0's get fairly decent gas mileage if you have one hooked to a T5. i have a buddy that gets 18-22 out of his and its mildly built.

My dad's 540 camaro can get like 2mpg, which is bad compared to the 4mpg of the chevrolet 572 crate motor... that doesn't make 4mpg good.

18-22 would actually be tolerable for me. I get 16 on average out of my current vehicle, so I could definitely deal with that. But I want to save money from now on so no v8's for me.
yea they really arent bad. i hear tell if you do a stock 4v cobra motor in a foxbody you can get upwards of 30 because its just so damn lite. but thats just rumors i hear. id have to see that to believe it.

The difference is in the exhaust note is negligible in that they both sound really good with decent exhaust.

The 2.3 is one of the most uninspiring asthmatic sounding motors ever built. I spent a lot of time around them, they're great for getting around town, and reasonably reliable but they're not fun.
