    Default Car won't start....again

So when you turn a vehicles key to the on position the CEL is supposed to come on and then turn off after a few seconds correct?

Well the CEL comes on and SOMETIMES goes off...when this happens the car starts no problem...

The other 90% of the time the CEL comes on and stays on...when this happens the car will not start

    ideas?

I would suggest you to check your ECU ground.

Any noises coming from the car when you try to start it? Do the lights stay on after you turn the key and it fails to start? Have you looked through all your fuses to check for any blown?

Autozone rents out code readers now for obdII vehicles so you can check it yourself.
