    cool. pretty expensive for a 2 way setup, so they better sound amazing! post pics when you get a chance

    What amp are you running to them? And i hope you aren't using your stock speaker wire

    he is using stock speaker wire and no amp i told him i would sell him a 250 4 channel with them

    Jason......please tell me it isn't true you're using stock wire and no amp. Even my type-r's didn't sound nearly as good without an amp and wire upgrade. I'm telling you, get an amp and some better wiring. You won't regret it. The difference for me was night and day and I'm only running type-r coaxials.

    ya i told him but he needs a new head unit he has a pos one once he gets a new one and puts new ire in and gets me amp they will sound amazing

    those speakers are amazing but with no amp you might not be impressed..and you could possibly damage them..underpowering is badnews bears

    If you like the Type X speakers...then I would suggest a listen to the Hybrid Audio Clarus speakers....
    Similar in some aspects, but different in others. Everyones ear will be slightly different, and thats ok.

    Still worth the listen/audition.

    very true. its better to overpower than underpower in most situations. distortion kills speakers

    Especially with Alpine stuff. Very power hungry speakers.

    very high grade speakers, i got focal components and i think the type-x and mine are very similiar indeed
