    Default The Economic Recovery Plan

    The Economic Recovery Plan

    Checks in the mail!!

    Hi Pals,

    I'm against the $700,000,000,000.00 bailout . Instead, I'm

in favor of giving $700,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It

Dividend. To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000

bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+. Our population is about 301,000,000 +/-

counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab

    at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $700 billion that equals

    $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $530,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve

It Dividend. Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a

tax rate of 30%. Every individual 18+ has to pay $143,500.00 in taxes.

That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. But it means that

every adult 18+ has $388,000.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife has $766,000.00. What would you do with

$388,000.00 to $766,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college - it'll be there

Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car - create jobs

Invest in the market - capital drives growth

Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the

folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company

that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed

    Forces.

If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do

    it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic

incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.

If we're going to do an $700 billion bailout, let's bail out

    every adult U S Citizen 18+!

    Kindest personal regards,

A Creative Guy & Citizen of the Republic

PS: Feel free to pass this along to your pals as it's either

good for a laugh or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use

    $700 Billion!!

I love that idea and I am also against the bail out. SO if they really have the need to spend 700 billion how about you give it to the majority of citzens

It would be like that Dave Chapelle skit when blk ppl got their repressions and all that money went right back into the market

spend it all on coke and have a good time. although the problem with everyone suddenly having that much money would mean the value of the dollar would go down.

There is a problem with the OP though. Do the math, it actually equals to a mere $3,500 a person, not $425,000 a person. The person who started that email is an uneducated commie.

This plan would be super sweet, but no politician is worried about the average joe. They are only worried about large corporations as well as their image

The funny thing about this post is not that the math is wrong, but that the original email was ranting about the $85,000,000,000 bailout of AIG. Someone edited the email to change the $85,000,000,000 to the new $700,000,000,000 total bailout amount. They did not even think to fix the math, just change the numbers to make it sound like we were all getting so screwed out of money.

85B/200M = $425.00 <---You can see where the original math was screwed up.
    700B/200M = $3,500.00

My economic plan is to get as many credit cards as possible, take all the money out in cash, and move to cuba with at least 300k.... I'd be set for life.

the math still isn't done....we still forgot the taxes. don't quote me, but i think the current lump sum distribution tax is 38%. that leaves us with $2170. no doubt, i still wouldn't mind an extra $2170....but it still wouldn't solve the issue.

people would pay off their debts and still not appreciate that, they would just borrow **** tons on an equity loan and be right back where they started.

FAIL. 3500$ stimulus check would do about as good as the previous stimulus check.

the issue is banks have tons of assets and not liquid funds. give money to american public will not fix our economic crisis.

True. However, giving it to foreign banks wont either...and thats where the lions share of the 700 billion bailout will go.

The problem is that America, and Americans are living beyond their means, and on credit. IMHO, for this reason, the current bailout idea should be abandoned. Those who have over extended themselves SHOULD be allowed to fail, many should be renters instead of homeowners. In addtion, governmental meddling/involvement helped to perpetuate the current banking situation, and further involvement will make it worse for ALL of us in the long run. Some 'pains' associated with a so called 'freeze' on credit would actually benefit us in comparison to paying 700 billion....in the long run.
