    shot these a few days ago and played around w/ them. lemme know what u think. I put up both of the engine pics cause i really like the natural version, but i like the colorized version as well....

    just wondering..how did you get that effect on the valve cover?
    like the lighting...

    Pitch black garage, used a flashlight to luminate the valve cover and header while the shutter was open. low apeture. f/4 was about the lowest i could go at that focal length. Colorized in photoshop

    You could probably get the same effect w/ a wireless speedlight @ low power. just didnt have one with me. If you're doing it w/ the flashlight or the speedlight, you gotta get it just right or you'll light up the whole bay (which wasnt what i was after)
