Default clutch wont disengage above 4000rpms

i really just cant figure out what the problem is. if im driving above 4000rpms and push the clutch in, it does nothing. under 4000 it works normal. if im sitting still, put it in first with the clutch in and rev up; after 4000, the clutch grabs and pulls the car forward (with the pedal still pushed in!!!). its a competition clutch stage 5. i swapped the disc and it didnt help. the pressure plate and throwout bearing appeared fine when i had the tranny dropped. slave cylinder and master cylinder do not have leaks and seem to be working properly. there was no event that started these issues that i remember. i just noticed it wouldnt shift above 4000 one day. im tired of it not working. someone toss me some suggestions. it worked fine for about 2500 miles before going haywire.

master or slave cylinder leaking down ....
or you have air in the lines causing it to lose preasure, also bleed it out many times with a full quart of brake fluid and flush the system out an see how that does

bleed clutch and adjust clutch master cylinder to your likings... higher performance clutches have lower and stronger catch points so you may need to adjust for best performance

like i said it was working great for like 2500 miles and then just stopped one day. so you guys think its the master or slave cylinder going? i have tried bleeding the clutch a lot, and it just doesnt seem to help much. i guess ill try to do it some more. i dont notice any leaking from the mc or sc, so im not sure which to replace.

i've seen this problem in the pressure place and the slave cly. some times as the rpm increases it puts more pressure on the fingers of the pressure plate against the clutch disc and a weak slave cly won't push them in to disengauge the clutch. sounds weird i know.

if i replace the master, i will probably get an omni one. i like a stiffer pedal feel than the clutch has right now. i dont want to replace the slave with another auto parts store brand since thats what is in there right now.

use whatever your local advance or autozone has, i currently have a advance slave and a autozone special master cylinder... works fine after a year lol

if you fix both of those and still dont fix the problem, its gonna be your pressure plate...
