The b18c's are all Type R, GS-R, and VTi/VTi-R engines with higher compression and
better internals. I have seen a post in the past that goes through all of the
differences in the Type R motor as opposed to a normal one, it includes special cams
and stuff that make it a lot stronger. Imagine that it's like a Supra motor and
designed to put up with more abuse because that's what they figure people will do to
it.

b18b stops making power around 6.5-7k while the b18c stops making power around 7.5-8.0k because of the head design and cams...no need to rev any further if it stops making power.
