yeah i wish all the oil companies would just stop doing everything that they are doing....wait, then we wouldn't have any gas.

for all the time and effort it takes to get all the gas to the gas stations gas is still really cheap...

Its cool that its cheap here but my problem is that they deliberately force us to be dependent on fossil fuels and sabotage all attempts at finding another energy source. That is my problem with them I hope they all burn in hell for it.

you live in georgia??? like the same georgia that is in the united states??? maybe i just have good luck but i haven't had any oil companies forcing me to do anything, knock on wood...so far so good though.

but yeah, i kinda get what you are saying...someone said it is expected to be $5 a gallon this time next year...but who knows...i do wish that gas stations were owned by the government and all had the same prices in each area...i hate that when you pull off to get gas and then you see it cheaper like 5 minutes later

That is Europe, they have their own pricing structures. Everything is more expensive there. Typically the more middle-class people drive there hence their abundant amount of upscale cars. People with bigger incomes can afford to pay more for gas. A population where everybody, including poor college students and wealthy software architects, will generally take a harder blow from petroleum price increases.

Yes I now reside in Georgia, USA - the country where I have a right to speak my opinion. Why don't you come down and make me STFU. I am very much entitled to be disgusted over the whole ordeal especially when such drama was unheard of 5 years ago. Don't get mad because I'm not the least bit scared to speak my mind.

$5 a gallon would cause a major problem and possibly even shut down transportation. Schools are already feeling it and having to cut routes and realign funds to just pay for gas. Time to break out the skateboards and bikes

Prices are going up due to higher demand and a unstable oil market, and then add the oil righs down in the gulf that account for 9% of wht we use here at home, that cause the market to get paranoid and the prices go up.

No one can say for sure what prices will be for the rest of the year, Again, it all depends on the stability of the oil market and oil production, Once the summer season is over and if the gulf gets back online in a timley manner we will start to see a stability in the market and prices will begin to come back down.

BP (formerly "British Petroleum" and briefly known as "BP Amoco") BP is a petroleum company headquartered in London, and one of the top four oil companies in the world (along with Shell, ExxonMobil, and Total).
    -From Wikipedia

Hmmm, too bad those are only European companies. In case you didnt catch my sarcasm.......Jus like many of my other intelligent homies have said, Its a world wide crisis about prices US doesnt have anything to do with controlling the prices, you all are lucky with what you have.

'Pricing structures'? Are you an idiot? Oil costs the same for everyone no matter who buys it. Local supply/demand can have some effect, but the main reason gas prices are so much higher in europe is because of draconian gas taxes. Haha, 'pricing structures'.

Everything is more expensive there. Typically the more middle-class people drive there hence their abundant amount of upscale cars. People with bigger incomes can afford to pay more for gas. News flash: BMW's and Mercedes Benzes are only exclusively upscale here. In many countries in the EU, it is not uncommon for the taxis to be MB's. They make base model cars just like every other manufacturer, they just don't sell them in the US.

Such drama was unheard of 5 years ago because there was a massive oil supply glut and we were getting it cheaper than we EVER did, historically. This drama was CERTAINLY heard of 25 years ago when gas was more expensive than it is now (though with Katrina we may actually see a new record).

Perhaps you might look into other additional reasons why gas would be higher, especially during summer, like high demand, multiple 'summer blends' of gas, and lackluster refining capacity (we haven't had a new refinery in 30 years).

Of course that would require you to not stomp your feet in an impotent blind rage at TEH EVAL OIL COMPANIIEEES!11!one!!!eleven

its not necessarily the gas companies fault...you can blame all this shit on good ole bush...the bastard
